Why holistic nutrition?

It all started with a stuffed up nose... Then sinus issues, constantly, over and over again, for almost a year. It was determined by my Doctor that I had chronic sinusitis, and I was given multiple rounds of antibiotics, and even a round of prednisone. Nothing worked.

Fast forward to my first appointment with my naturopath and the food sensitivity test that changed my life. A simple blood test, tested my IgG reaction to a panel of 200 foods, and surprisingly, I reacted to over 30. Dairy and egg whites ranked the highest, and other staple foods such as wheat, but surprisingly enough so did kidney beans, pea's, flax seeds, celery, and cabbage. WOAH, I never would have guessed someone would have sensitivities to flax or celery...

So now what do I eat? I cut out all of my reactive foods for 3 months, incorporated the recommended supplements, and felt like a whole NEW person.

Energy? It was back.

Anxiety? Significantly diminished.

Sinus and stuffy nose? So long sucker.

Weight? Excess weight gone, despite doubling my typical unrefined carbohydrate intake.

I started researching recipes and nutrition and eventually ran into someone who was enrolled in the holistic nutrition program at CSNN. I was already passionate about health and wellness, and the more I researched, the more fireworks would go off in my head that this was the right step for me to take.

Fast forward two years later and I am now a graduate, getting to start my own practice, driven by the fire inside of me to help other people realize that they have the power to take back their health and their wellness.
